Grind Out Hunger (GOH) and Santa Cruz CORE Fitness + Rehab  are stoked to be holding a series of 3 races called Outrunning Hunger.  The Santa Cruz CORE is hosting the GOH fundraiser 5k River Run on June 22nd,  the first race in the series.   This fun run along the San Lorenzo Levee is open for the whole family and ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT GOH.  AND all runners will get a cool t-shirt and bag of goodies from many of the race sponsors.  PLUS, plan to stay and check out the fun after the race at the First Annual Family Health Expo, featuring a GOH skateboard ramp and other family friendly activities like face painting, bands, food, fitness and healthy lifestyle booths.  Come out and have fun, FIGHT HUNGER and support this important public-private partnership that is just the first of many more joint events to benefit GOH.  Sponsor and/or volunteer for the River Run and/or the Family Health Expo.  Check for details on the expo and sign up for the race at outrunninghunger.org or call 831-425-9500 and ask for Jaimi.

“We are excited to team up with Grind Out Hunger and create a great community event!  Our goal is to raise $ 10,000 for GOH through the 5k RIVER RUN, the sponsors and the Raffle,” said Jaimi Ellison owner of Santa Cruz CORE.

The raffle has thousands of dollars in prizes and all proceeds from the race and raffle go to support GOH. Grind Out Hunger and SC CORE are hoping to help reinvigorate the downtown area & recapture the levy for a positive purpose, involving families in a day promoting healthy lifestyles and fun activities.  Grind Out Hunger is bringing a skate board ramp and Potrero Street at River St. will be closed for Expo wellness booths, food and more.
